USS "Glover" was built to test
hull design with a massive underwater bow sonar dome extending well forward,
and another underwater feature aft to support counter-rotating propellers
mounted on a single shaft. Above the waterline, the USS "Glover" is almost
similar to the "Garcia" class escorts.
