Built in Poland in 1956 as "Kalisz".
DWT.: 5000, - LOA.: 108,3 m, - Beam: 14,6 m
Renamed in 1956 to "Ho Ping 32" , and and became "Zhan Dou 32" in 1967, - Scrapped in 1992

Built in 1947 in Norway as "Marianne.
Renamed 1969 to "Gunny", - 1969 to "Prosperity", - 1973 to "Mariner Alpha", and 1976 "Tung Hing"
Exploded and burned in 1977.

Possibly the M/S "Kaising", - a classic -
Unknown ship which, - in spite of its yellow funnel -, looks very much like an ex "Blue Funnel" cargo liner.

This ship could actually be the same as the "unknown" ex. Blue Funnel liner above, - just with the paintwork finished.
Built in 1956 in UK as "Diomed", - one of the "D-Class" ships -,  for Blue Funnel Line, but here owned by Nan Yang Shipping Co. of Macao and under Panama flag.
DWT.: 9110, - LOA.: 149,8 m, - Beam: 19 m, - Propulsion: Diesel, - 16 knots.
Renamed: 1970 "Glenberg", - 1972 "Diomed", - 1973 "Kaising" - and finally scrapped in 1982.

Here anothe ex. Norwegian ship, built in 1948 as "Hoegh Silverwave" for Leif Hoegh & Co.
TDW.: 9800, - LOA.: 478,7 ft., - Beam: 61,1 ft., - Machinery: B&W diesel 6600 BHP, - 16 knots.
Renamed: 1964 "Siboney", - 1964 "Madrid", - 1965 "Malaysia Success" and scrapped in 1977.

This ship under Panama flag could very well be one of those many, many second hand ships from Europe, that during those days were bought by Chinese interests, and then, - here in Hong Kong -, being fixed up for the new owners - -
